"Mapas Intensivos" procura mapear diferentes espaços. Navegando de sala em sala, o espectador é guiado através de um percurso emergente onde encontra vestígios do tempo que passamos nesses lugares ao longo das residências, observando e absorvendo, tomando decisões e derivando, ancorando, lançando e ainda recolhendo. Cada mapear acontece apenas uma vez! Através de acções performativas, danças e leituras de oráculo, os mapas intensivos revelaram-se com o público a movimentar-se de espaço em espaço como parte intrínseca deste mapear. Apelando a uma subtil participação, oferecemos uma experiência de múltiplas leituras que activam o campo da percepção. No final, tudo é um jogo.

"Mapas Intensivos" tiveram até agora 3 momentos: em 2018 uma residência em Habitation at the Wilder Building Montreal, em 2017 no Festival Try Better Fal Better, noTeatro da Garagem em Lisboa e em 2016 no Espaço 116 no Funchal.
Sara e a Thea conheceram-se no mestrado em coreografia (Das Choreography Master – Universidade de Artes de Amesterdão). Em Fevereiro de 2016, numa residência artística na ilha da Madeira, começaram o projecto Mapas Intensivos, como uma oportunidade de olharem para os pontos em comuns das suas pesquisas e de intersectarem os seus interesses partilhando práticas artísticas desenvolvidas à volta dos temas: mapas emergentes, dramaturgias especulativas, guiar e traçar percursos. Convidaram o artista plástico Jeremy, como uma voz ou um vector que desafia e abre outras possibilidades ao trabalho.

"Intensive Maps" seeks to map different spaces. Navigating from room to room, the audience is guided through the emergent pathways and traces of our time in the space during the residencies, observing and absorbing, navigating and drifting, mooring and casting out... Each mapping is unique. Through performative actions, dances, and oracle readings the intensive map unfolds with the public moving through the space as an intrinsic part of the mapmaking. Through subtle participations we offer an experience of layered interpretation that opens sensation and perceptions. It’s all a game. 

"Intensive Maps" had so far three moments: in 2018 a residency in Habitation at the Wilder Building Montreal; em 2017 in Try Better Fail Better Festival at the Teatro da Garagem and in 2016 at Espaço 116 in Funchal.
Sara and Thea are choreographers and dancers who met while studying at the Amsterdam Masters of Choreography (DAS Choreography). In Feb 2016, in residency on the island of Madeira, they began the Intensive Maps project as an opportunity to intersect their research by sharing artistic practices developed around ideas of guiding, emergent maps, speculative dramaturgy and tracing the course. They invited a visual artist, Jeremy to join the project as another voice or a vector that challenges and opens possibilities.
